Pitz helps anyone interested in applying for the scholarship prepare an appropriate proposal. She also helps students find exactly what scholarship or location they want to apply for.
"Students don't always know where they want to go. We talk about it and look at awards and find your best fit with interests," Pitz said. "If you don't quite know, don't worry. That's what I'm here for."

Those who are interested in studying or working abroad after graduation on a Fulbright scholarship can choose which country they would like to apply for. There are different numbers of scholarships available per country. Not all countries require a language proficiency in their national language.

For anyone who is interested in the Fulbright scholarship or would like more information, visit the website at www.fulbrightonline.org/us or contact Dr. Barbara Pitz in the English department. The proposal statement may take a few months of preparation. The campus deadline for the application is usually at the end of September or October.
