Hot Tub Time Machine gets a lot of laughs

"It must be some kind of hot tub time machine," to quote Craig Robinson's character Nick from the movie Hot Tub Time Machine which I recently had the opportunity to see. My anticipation for this movie was pretty high on account of that I had not seen a really good comedy flick in almost a year; Sex Drive.

Students take Last Blast stage

Last Blast is perhaps the most eventful, crazy and unpredictable weekend of the year. With numerous entertaining events going on both Friday and Saturday, Last Blast goers will most likely want some time to kick back and relax. CAB is providing the option to hang out and enjoy the musical talent of fellow students and a couple local bands.

Kick-Ass is the must-see movie

It's violent. It's hilarious. It's kick-ass. Going into the midnight showing without a clue what this movie with a cool title was about, I thought there was no way I'd make it without dozing off a few times. As it turns out, I was very wrong. The humor in Kick-Ass catches you right away.

Ambrosians perform as Idol fever hits campus

Ladies and gentlemen, after one night and hundreds of votes, your 2010 Ambrose Idol is… Justin Horokowsky. After 13 solo and group performances, Horokowsky was declared the Ambrose Idol after a tie resulted in a fan vote. Horokowsky and Tara Wellman each earned a perfect score of 40 during the April 15 competition.

Senior Honors Show puts senior's art on display

The four featured artists in the Senior Honors Show are Amy Fossum, Heather Behrens, Grant Legan, and Hannah Gough. They are vastly different artists with different talents and strengths. They do, however, share two things: a love of art and a common theme of relationships.

Bold choices made in educational theatre

Creativity can go a long way. Creativity can form in one of two ways: by inventing something new and useful or by taking something already in existence and finding a new use for it. What the students produced for Oedipus Rex was creative, but was it necessary? Were what the students produced needed for a tired, old story or were they just trying to put their own personal stamp on a classic story? Greek tragedies are worth producing.
