Major League Baseball considers change to DH rule

Whether your favorite team plays in the National League, such as the Cubs or Cardinals, or in the American League, like the White Sox and the Twins, most baseball fans are aware of the role of the designated hitter. Since 1973, when the DH was first instated to combat the great pitchers of the era such as Sandy Koufax and Bob Gibson, there has been a divide among fans.

Hannah-white named All-American

mes Hannah-White was recently named to the 2009 College Fanz NAIA All-American Second Team on special teams based on his contributions to the Fighting Bees during the 2009 football season. Hannah-White, a sophomore from Lafayette, Ind., averaged almost 22 yards per punt return on the season and 25 yards per kick-off return.

Bowlers head to first sectional tournament

The sectional-bound St. Ambrose bowling team didn't throw the season into the gutter. The season will soon be coming to an end, but not quite yet. The team has qualified for sectionals in Las Vegas. The 2009-2010 season marked the first bowling season at Ambrose.
