Despite missing just over 20 games in his four years as a Fighting Bee, and with not much time left in his career, senior forward Alex Burkle has reached a milestone that will place him in Fighting Bee history. Burkle scored his 1000th point as a Bee in a contest against the Waldorf Warriors on Jan.
It was all in his hands. He could make his controversial comeback oh-so-much sweeter. Time, possession and field position were all in his favor. He trusted his kicker. He knew the field goal would be good. All he had to do was make one more play. History then repeated itself as Brett Favre, hailed for his accuracy and skill even at the age of 40, threw yet another dream crushing interception.
John Pflaumer is not a typical St. Ambrose male athlete. SAU has many sport teams and last year one more team was added for the first time - cheerleading. Pflaumer is the first male cheerleader since it became a SAU sport. Pflaumer is a sophomore majoring in TV/Radio.
